Stay Away from Nightly Snacks or Late Dinners

26 Jul

Anything you consume after 6pm – just figure this will converted into fat. Why? Because our metabolism slows down in the evening. And this is not just a unique situation for humans either. Did you know that all plants and animals adjust their natural life according to “sunset” and “sunrise”? Studies have proven that our bodies minimize energy consumption and start energy storage as soon as the sun begins to set. So to make long story short, every bite you eat late of extra calories, will likely result in unwanted pounds. No one wants to go to bed hungry, but the feeling of over fullness can actually make you more uncomfortable and prevent you from falling back to sleep!

The ugly truth: people in other countries consume less fast foods and eat more fresh and natural foods, but they don’t seem to be eating less fatty foods or lower calorie foods. They might also be getting more exercise; but then again, despite getting plenty of exercise, many Americans are not able to lose weight. So we can’t just blame it all on “You’re eating too much,” or “You’re not exercising,” or “You’re getting old.”

18 Jun

Day 14: Day Off

15 Jan

Excellent day!  Worked out, ate only 1400 calories and never starved…but I DID cheat a little with some fat free hotdogs (I had THREE at 40 calories each)…but the taste was totally worth it.  I didn’t eat the buns –

It’s been 14 days and it feels like only 5.  I am thinking about just taking a day off to eat all of my favorite foods because I have been so good (smile).  I was thinking about doing that today because I can actually feel my body IS healthier and more toned (already!)…so I do I deserve a “day off”.  You know it’s strange though, I don’t want to break my record!!!  I just can’t do it!

I have eaten nearly perfect for two weeks!  Hurray!
